DECAYING HOUSE MODELS!!!!

Italian artist Daniele Del Nero uses scale paper models of houses and mold to create a series of grotesque yet fascinating buildings that look like they’ve been abandoned for centuries.

In reality, it only takes Del Nero a few weeks to achieve this repulsive yet intriguing effect. With a background in building engineering and architecture, he creates realistic models out of black paper, which he then dampens and covers with a thin dusting of flour. The models are then placed in a transparent plexiglass case, where the mould takes over.

Within two days it starts to grow on the building’s walls and after just two weeks it dies and leaves behind what the artist calls “a dusty spider-web which covers the model like a rambler plant”.

Del Nero avoids direct contact with the mould, removing the glass cover only to take photos of his artworks, and he even used to throw the models away after shooting them, but his vision has changed and he now believes “the models are part of my work as well as my photographs.

Daniele Del Nero says the idea for his grotesque collection, entitled “After Effects”, was inspired by man’s perception of urban spaces – “We are used to imagining our cities as permanent and definitive, but it’s amazing how little time it takes for nature to reclaim its spaces”.

"""""""""creativity"""""""""!!!!!!!!!!!

look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever seen a building in motion that actually changes its shape?

This building will never appear exactly the same twice. It is amazing

but you will have the choice of waking up to sunrise in your bedroom

and enjoying sunsets over the ocean at dinner. In addition to being

such an incredible engineering miracle it will produce energy for itself

and even for other buildings because it will have wind turbines fitted

between each rotating floor (picture 2). So an 80-story building will

have up to 79 wind turbines, making it a true green power plant.

what a ship!!!!

World's largest ship

World's Largest Cargo Ship. Get a load of this ship! 15,000 containers and a 207' beam !!!!!! And look at the crew size for a ship longer than a US aircraft carrier which has a complement of 5,000 men and officers.

Think it's big enough? Notice that 207' beam means it was NOT designed for the Panama or Suez canal. It is strictly transpacific. Check out the "cruise speed". 31 knots means the goods arrive 4 days before the typical container ship (18-20 knots) on a China-to-California run. So this be-hemoth is hugely competitive carrying perishable goods.

This ship was built in three, perhaps as many as five sections. The sections floated together and then welded. The ship is named Emma Maersk. The command bridge is higher than a 10 store building and has 11 crane rigs that can operate simultaneously.
